Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma announced the sad news of his pet dog Leo’s demise on social media on Saturday, April 19. The cricketer’s most recent outing was against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 33rd match of the IPL 2025, played at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 17.
Batting first, SRH scored 162/5, with Abhishek leading the way with 40 runs off 28 balls, including seven boundaries. In reply, MI chased down the target with ease, winning by four wickets with 11 balls to spare. The 24-year-old will be back in action on April 23 when SRH face Mumbai in Hyderabad. Currently, SRH are ninth in the table with four points from seven matches.
On April 19, Abhishek posted a heartfelt tribute to his pet, Leo, on Instagram, sharing pictures and a touching caption. “Thank you for each and every memory I have with you LEO, you’ll be missed always. Love you and RIP.”

Abhishek Sharma has featured in seven matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2025, amassing a total of 232 runs. His standout performance was a remarkable 141 against Punjab Kings. He has scored his runs at an average of 33.14 and a strike rate of 188.61.
