End of innings: Delhi Capitals 133/7
From 47/5 at the halfway mark, Delhi Capitals have managed to post 133/7- thanks largely to a much-needed partnership between Tristan Stubbs and impact sub Ashutosh Sharma.
Ashutosh brought some life back into the innings and played a brisk knock of 41 off just 26 balls, injecting momentum when DC desperately needed it. Stubbs held one end and anchored the innings with a steady 41 off 36.
Despite the late recovery, 133 is still a well below-par score. The pitch is assisting seamers a bit, but unless Delhi’s bowlers produce something special, this chase looks very manageable for SRH.
End of 10 overs: Delhi Capitals 47/5
Delhi’s innings has gone from bad to worse. Just when they needed some stability, KL Rahul, the backbone of their batting, walked back for 10. Vipraj Nigam is trying to fight back. He did manage to land a big six off Zeeshan Ansari, but it’s been one-way traffic so far.
At the halfway mark, DC are crawling at 47/5 with a run rate of just 4.7. They’ve already lost half their side and unless a miracle happens, this game is slipping away fast from them.
End of the powerplay: Delhi Capitals 26/4
What a start to this game! Delhi Capitals have been blown away in the powerplay by a fiery spell from Pat Cummins. He has rattled the top order and grabbed 3 wickets in no time.
The Aussie pacer struck in his very first over, removing Karun Nair for a golden duck, then get Faf du Plessis edged to the keeper and soon after, dismissed Porel with another sharp delivery.
Delhi were left gasping at 26 for 4 after 6 overs. Tristan Stubbs and KL Rahul are at the crease, but they have a mountain to climb. Delhi would need something special to bounce back.
