End of match: MI won by 7 wickets
Mumbai Indians made it two wins out of two against Sunrisers Hyderabad this season with a dominant performance. SRH had a rough day. Their total of 143 was never going to be enough on a good batting pitch.
MI chased it down comfortably — thanks to a classy 70 from Rohit Sharma. They successfully chased the target with more than 4 overs to spare.
End of 12 overs: MI 100/2
Rohit Sharma kept MI going with a composed half-century — reaching his fifty with a gentle flick in the 11th over. Will Jacks tried to keep the momentum going but got dismissed for 22 while trying to go big — giving SRH a much-needed breakthrough in the 10th over.
Suryakumar Yadav then walked in and wasted no time. He hit a couple of boundaries to get going.
End of powerplay: MI 56/1
Mumbai Indians got off to a steady start in the powerplay. Rickelton hit a couple of early boundaries but was dismissed in the second over.
Rohit Sharma looked in good touch. He smashed a six and two fours off Pat Cummins in the third over. Solid start by MI despite the early wicket.
End of the innings: Sunrisers Hyderabad 143/8
Heinrich Klaasen and Abhinav Manohar put up a 99-run stand for the 6th over and take SRH to a total to fight with.
Klaasen scores 71(44) while Manohar gets 43(37) before being dismissed by Bumrah and hit wicket respectively.
Trent Boult finishes the innings with a four-fer as MI’s pick of the bowlers. Ends with the figures of 4/26 in 4 overs.
End of 10 overs: Sunrisers Hyderabad 52/5
Heinrich Klaasen holds onto one end and tries to get the hosts to a respectable total as another wicket falls from the other end in Aniket Verma.
Deepak Chahar ends his 4 overs with 2/12 as the best bowler for the MI so far.
High hopes from Abhinav Manohar to help Klaasen from the other end, as SRH is forced to send him as the impact sub.
End of powerplay: Sunrisers Hyderabad 24/4
Sunrisers’ struggle in the 2025 season continues as they go 4 down inside the powerplay while only managing to score 24 runs.
Ishan Kishan with a brain fade moment as he walked off without the bowling team appealing while the snicko meter showed no edge.
Deepak Chahar with 2/6 in 3 overs and Trent Boult with 2/8 in his 2 overs.
7:00 pm: Toss! MI have won the toss and they will bowl first in Hyderabad.
The toss is scheduled at 7:00 pm IST.Â
