Take Home Ration: Ration will be available from e-KYC, Face Verification in Anganwadi centers

Take Home Ration E KYC: E-KYC is being done by Anganwadi workers in Chhatarpur district at this time. The government distributes drought ration under Tech Home ration through Anganwadi centers to remove malnutrition in teenagers, pregnant and breastfeeding women and children. But many times complaints are received that nutritional food does not reach the beneficiary and there is rigging in the scheme.

To deal with this problem, the government is implementing face verification and OTP system towards implementing transparent system.

What is Tech Home Ration System
Under the Integrated Child Development Program of the Government of India, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women and adolescent girls are given supplements in Anganwadi centers. This system is called Tech Home Ration (THR). The purpose of this scheme is to remove the problem of malnutrition.

Face verification will be done with biometric system
Shyambai Ahirwar, Anganwadi worker of Basantpur Anganwadi Center 44 in Chhatarpur district, says that the work of e-KYC is almost complete. However, some work is yet to be due to the time of harvesting. Shyambai further states that teenagers and women who will come to Anganwadi center to take nutritious food for themselves and their children, their face verification will be done with face reader under the biometric system. Also, an OTP will come on the mobile number of the beneficiary recorded in Anganwadi. On showing this OTP, Anganwadi workers will give them tech home ration.

Nutritious food will be available after verification from OTP
Shyambai says that if mothers or children cannot come to take nutritional food for some reason, then OTP can be verified on mobile through any other family. Photo will be taken at the time of Tech Home Ration (THR) distribution. Distribution will be considered only when the photos of children and beneficiaries are uploaded.
