There is a mysterious well in Toneri, a village in France, in which the water has been full of water continuously for centuries. The name of this well is Fosse Diyon, which in French means that ‘holy khadda’… is also the reason for people to consider it holy. This ancient well has been the center of mystery and attraction for the last several centuries.
It is said that water used to flow continuously from a waterfall. In such a situation, in the 18th century, the French people erected a wall around it and gave it the shape of a well. However, for centuries, there was curiosity in the minds of the people that what is under this well. Legends said that it can be the door to another world or there is a fierce creature hidden inside it.
Many people died
In such a situation, many people tried to dive inside it. It is said that for the first time in 1908, an attempt was made to dive inside it, but due to lack of equipment at that time the divers could not go too deep. Then also failed in 1955 and 1962.
In 1963, another team tried to get deep inside it, but two divers died. Then in 1974, two professional divers went inside and never returned again. His bodies could not be found. After the death of another diver in 1996, the dive into this mysterious well was banned for 20 years.
Source of water so far
For the first time in 2019, an experienced diver Pierre-Aric Dezen covered a distance of 370 meters inside the well, but he too could not reach the source of this waterfall.
So far, the mystery of the water source of Fasi Diyon is unresolved. Tunnels like its underground labyrinth, in which many people have lost their lives, still remain incomplete on the map.
