A 700 -year -old house is still standing in Negua, a small village in Maharajpur tehsil of Chhatarpur district, but is deserted and filled with silence. Sometimes it was the most grand mansion in the village, which the local people call “Badi Bakhari”. Now it is called “Bhoot Mahal”.

The villagers claim that this house has a negative energy. The family living there does not have children, and whoever comes to live in this house, something untoward.

Three heritage and one ruin
The three main centers built at the beginning of the village were an ancient well, an Ram-Janaki temple and the same big bakhari. Time passed, worship continued in the temple, water came out of the well… but Bakhari became ruins.

Rural Santlal Pandit says that women look hung in this house. The child’s voices come at night.

Ghost and house renunciation asks
Savita Dubey, the former owner of this house, says that she lived with family here about 30 years ago.

“One night I saw a small child, who was asking me to a math… he suddenly went into the room. I did not say anything to anyone. Then we did not have a child.

According to the villagers, once a media team came to know the truth of this house. But the team members felt something that they returned in the middle. Villagers say that there are chaos in the courtyard of the house, but an old Tulsi house is still standing like that.

Story of murder, buried and treasure
A young man from the village says that many people were murdered in this house. He was buried in this courtyard. Their souls wander here. Some people claim that money is also buried here. Many times people came to dig, but returned.

When our team reached the village, the first one came to the fore. It was written in thick letters “Beware of ghosts”. When he went inside, a two -storey ruin appeared. The rooms are broken, shrubs grown in the courtyard, and an untold rustle in the winds….

The people of the village say “This is not a house, it is a curse”
Even today, there is a religious distance from this house to the villagers. Children do not go near, and the elderly instruct every new generation to stay away from this house. Some consider it to be cultural curse, some of the past.
