TMC accuses BJP
Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha member Sagarika Ghosh and spokesperson Kunal Ghosh alleged that the BJP is sharing fake pictures and videos of violence and arson on the Internet and telling them the incident that happened in West Bengal. Sagarika shared a post released by the BJP’s state unit on the social media platform ‘X’, which features photographs showing violence during nine Hindu festivals in West Bengal. He claimed that no such incident happened in the state and also told places about it.
Shocking & Alarming. @BJP4bengal is brazenly spreading fake news. Photos of Violence from other states, (Most from BJP Rules States) Are Being Used As Photos from Bengal. These are clear examples of Hate Monging & Conspiracy. @Kolkatapolice , @Wbpolice. pic.twitter.com/xcxwxqgdv0

Sagarika claimed, “This is a campaign of BJP’s lies, communal polarization and excitement politics.” He urged the police to take action. Sagarika said, “The violence in Murshidabad is very unfortunate. The Bengal government has made it clear that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands and those who commit violence will be punished severely, whether they are of any community or religious identity. However, the BJP is currently doing politics of religious polarization and provocation. ”
What did Kunal Ghosh claim?
Kunal Ghosh claimed that photographs showing violence do not have relations with Murshidabad violence, but they are of incidents in different places including Assam, Lucknow, Jalandhar and Karnataka. Kunal said, “Those political parties who cannot win democratically are involved in such conspiracies to disturb peace.” He alleged that BJP is also misusing central agencies.
This statement of the Trinamool leaders has come in response to the BJP’s allegation that the fundamentalist elements have encouraged during the Trinamool rule, due to which there are target attacks on Hindus in Murshidabad district.
What did BJP claim?
Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari claimed in a post, “More than 400 Hindu from Dhulian in Murshidabad forced to escape across the Hindu river and take refuge in Lalpur High School across the Devnapur-Sovapur GP of Vaishnavanagar in Malda for fear of religious fundamentalists. Religious harassment in Bengal is reality. ”
He claimed, “The politics of appeasement of the Trinamool Congress has promoted radical elements. Hindus are being hunted, our people are running to save their lives on their own land! The state government should be ashamed to let the law and order deteriorate in this way. ”The officer urged the central paramilitary forces, state police and district administration posted in Murshidabad to ensure the safe return of these displaced people.
