Michael rubin remark on asim munir: Former Pentagon officer and senior Fellow Michael Rubin of the American Enterprise Institute has made a sensational statement. He criticized the Pakistan Army and its chief General Asim Munir, saying that he is the same as Osama bin Laden, the only difference is that he was hidden in one cave and the other lives in the palace. He made this comment at a time when a terrible terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 civilians were killed.
Speaking to India’s news agency ANI, Rubin also said that America should declare Pakistan as Terrorism Sponsor and Aseem Munir should be declared as terrorists at the international level. He clarified that the attack was part of a well -planned strategy. Rubin compared the timing of this attack to the Chittisinghpura massacre during Bill Clinton’s visit to India in 2000. He believes that the attack has been carried out with the aim of diverting the attention of US Vice President JD Vance’s visit to India.

Pahalgam attack and Pakistan’s suspicious role
The attack took place on Tuesday (22 April 2025) at the popular Basaron Maidan, where a bus filled with tourists was targeted, in which 26 innocent people lost their lives. This terrorist attack shook the country. India’s security agencies indicated in the initial investigation that the attack was planned from the border and it has the role of Pakistan -based terrorist organizations. After this incident, when the bodies were taken to their families and the funeral was performed, there was a wave of resentment across the country.
India’s strict diplomatic response
India has given the most strict diplomatic response against Pakistan so far. Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt made several important announcements at the press conference. The Indus Water Treaty of 1960 was also suspended and it was decided to close the Attari land-tradition post with immediate effect. Apart from this, under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme, the permission of Pakistani citizens to come to India was canceled and the citizens present in India were directed to leave the country within 48 hours. Not only this, defense, Navy and Air Force advisors working at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi were also declared ‘unwanted person’ and have been ordered to leave India within a week.
Role of international community and Rubin demand
Michael Rubin urged the US to declare Pakistan a sponsor country of terrorism. He said that Pakistan has been giving protection to terrorist organizations for decades and has become a threat to global peace. Rubin warned that if strict steps were not taken against Pakistan, it will encourage even more deadly attacks in the future. He said that now the time has come to stop ignoring the activities of Pakistan and other global powers and take appropriate action.
