As the summer outbreak increases, traveling in the air conditioner buses of UP Roadways has now become expensive. The UP Transport Corporation has increased the fares of AC buses by ten percent. The new rates will be applicable from May 1. This means that in summer, the fare of these buses will also burn the pocket of the common man.

The fares of AC buses of UP Roadways have been increased by up to ten percent. You can understand this in such a way that if you used to pay Rs 100 fare in AC buses for a tamper distance, then from May 1, they will have to pay Rs 110 for the same distance. The Transport Corporation has done this increase in view of the operational cost and fuel inflation. The increased fare will be applicable to all AC buses like Janrath, Shatabdi, Scania and Volvo.

AC buses were deducted before winter

Earlier, at the start of winter, the rent of AC buses was also cut by ten percent by the Transport Department. In winter, people travel in less air clinical buses, due to which buses were running empty. In such a situation, the Transport Department had reduced the fare of AC buses so that people can travel in this bus even in winter. Initially this fare was reduced till March, but then it was extended to 30 April.

Till now, fare was being charged at the rate of Rs 1.45 per km in Janrath AC buses in the state, while two and two buses were being charged Rs 1.60 per km, Volvo buses at Rs 2.30 per km and AC sleeper buses at Rs 2.10 per km. From May 1, the fares of all these buses will increase by ten percent.
