पहलगाम हमले के बाद पीएम मोदी से पहली बार मिले CM उमर अब्दुल्ला, प्रधानमंत्री संग आधे घंटे चली बैठक

Omar abdullah meets PM modi: For the first time after the Pahalgam terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (April 03, 2025). The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence and the meeting went on for about half an hour. According to sources, the emerging situation was discussed after the attack between the two leaders.

Sources said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has also discussed the postponement of the Indus Water Treaty with Prime Minister Modi and its effect, which will have the most impact on Jammu and Kashmir. After this terrorist attack, Omar Abdullah had given a strong message that his politics is not so high that during this tragedy, he should demand the status of full state from his government.

‘This is the time to express support’

He said during the special session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, “Jammu and Kashmir is not the responsibility of the elected government at the moment but I do not want to use this opportunity to demand state status. How can I use Pahalgam tragedy to demand state status from the Center? Can my politics be so cheap? Can I give so much importance to the lives of these 26 people? If I say, it is a matter of shame for me, no politics, no state status.

‘The whole country is in the grip of this attack’

In his speech, Omar Abdullah said that every part of the country, from north to south and from east to west, is in the grip of this heinous attack. On 22 April, terrorists brutally murdered 25 tourists and a Kashmiri horse at Basaron Maidan in Pahalgam. This attack has shook Jammu and Kashmir and the whole country with its cruelty.
