3 IPL 2025 RR Flops Who Can Bounce Back In IPL 2026 – Cricket.com
The Rajasthan Royals, after back-to-back great seasons in the Indian Premier League in 2023 and 2024 where they made it to the playoffs, had a nightmare of a season in the latest edition in 2025. This was primarily due to their disbalance and the non-understanding of the roles by the players, who were entrusted with responsibilities.Â
Those players, now very senior in stature and experience, will look to make amends and bounce back in IPL 2026 to take the team to new heights. Here are the top three players  likely to bounce back in IPL 2026 after a modest showing in the IPL 2025 edition.Â
For Englishman Jofra Archer, it was a season to forget as he leaked runs at 9.47 runs per over, way higher than his overall economy rate of 7.89. This was primarily due to the fact that he was unable to pick wickets when required, taking only 11 wickets in 12 games.Â
Given the way he performed at Lord’s against India, the RR unit will also hope for a few inspired spells and Archer is more than capable of doing it.
Much like Archer, West Indian Shimron Hetmyer, who was also expected to step-up in the absence of Jos Buttler as the most senior overseas batter, failed to do so at a time when it mattered. With 239 runs at an average of 21 and just one fifty to his name, Hetmyer failed to close out at least four games.Â
Right after the IPL, though, he finished not one, but two games in the Major League Cricket 2025, playing for the Seattle Orcas. These are clear signs that the big Guyanaese knows how to get back to form, and he will do so in IPL 2026.
Dhruv Jurel had to his name 333 runs in IPL 2025, the most in a season in his three-season-long IPL career. However, that could not get any traction because he failed to guide his team over the line much like Hetmyer.
Now that the wicketkeeper batter has been named captain of the Central Zone in the Duleep Trophy, he will look to get back his confidence and focus more on finishing games for his team in IPL 2026.
