In the hospital, the person’s eye suddenly went to the urine bag, then his senses flew away. The person shouted loudly and asked for help from the doctors. Actually, in the bag, he saw a red worm like a 30 cm long blood, which was alive and suffering! Seeing him, the doctors also stood up. He immediately took pictures of him and investigated. Investigation revealed that it was Dictophyma Renale, which is called huge kidney worm. It is the largest parasite infecting humans. It was a male worm who came out of the person’s urine, which was 3-4 millimeters wide. Doctors said that if it was a female, it could have been longer than a meter. But the question was, how did this worm reach inside the stomach? During investigation, doctors found that the person got this infection with the habit of eating raw fish from a nearby lake. The larvae of this parasite live in raw or half -baked freshwater fish.

This worm came out alive from the stomach of the person.

The person told the doctors that he had seen some such insects coming out with urine earlier, but he did not pay attention. Investigation confirmed that it was a huge kidney worm, which could destroy the kidney and bladder. After this, the doctors examined the urin of that person for the next three days, but no other insects or eggs were found. Before the doctors could be able to treat the entire treatment, the person ran away from the hospital. After this, nothing could be known about that person. The case was published in the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, highlighting the rare, but dangerous infection of the huge kidney worm. According to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it grows inside the kidney, prevents the flow of urine and spoils the kidney function. Due to this, blood in urine, difficulty in urination and kidney can also deteriorate in serious cases.

The case of this person of Meerut was more serious, because he had told about the insects coming out earlier. If he was not treated on time, this parasite would have destroyed the whole kidney. According to CDC, the affected kidney has to be removed from surgery in treatment. The best way to prevent this is to cook the fish and frog well and avoid food and contaminated water. Explain that this case is not just a medical case, but a warning. The person’s habit of eating raw fish made him a victim of this dangerous parasite. His running away from the hospital and incomplete treatment further exposes the seriousness of the disease.
