Blast in firecracker manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh 8 killed CM Chandrababu Naidu orders probe
Andhra pradesh firecrackers plant explosion: On Sunday (April 13, 2025) in Ankapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, eight people, including two women, were killed and seven others were injured in a fire in a firecracker factory. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the incident and he also ordered an inquiry into the case. Also asked the officials to submit the report.
State Home Minister V. Anita said, “Eight people, including two women, were killed and seven others were injured in the fire accident.” He said that the injured were being admitted to the nearest hospitals. He said that detailed information in the case is awaited. The accident occurred at around 12:45 pm and the officials are currently focusing on removing the bodies and taking the injured to the hospital.
How exploded in cracker plant
Fire fighting officer D Niranjan Reddy said, “At around 1 pm this afternoon, we got a call stating that we immediately reached the spot. 3 fire engines and 50 employees reached the spot. 8 people died and 7 were seriously injured. The explosion seems to be a manual error.”
Former CM Jaganmohan Reddy made this request to the government
A police officer said that the local people are also helping the police at the scene. An official release said that the Chief Minister has directed Anita and district officials to ensure better medical facilities for the injured. YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy also expressed grief over the incident and urged the government to help the victims. He also asked his party leaders to provide all possible help to the victims. After knowing about this tragedy, Jagan instructed the party leaders to visit the accident site and provide all the necessary help to the victims as well as their families.
