Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) is all set to kick off the annual invitational tournament, All India Buchi Babu Trophy, on August 18 (Monday). The competition is the traditional precursor to India’s domestic red-ball tournament, with several invited teams testing their strategies before the Ranji Trophy.
Like always, several big names will be taking part in the competition, with 14 of the biggest states in the country featuring in it
Each team will play the other three teams once in the group stage, with all the league games being a three-day affair. However, semi-final onwards, the teams would face each other in a four-day affair.
There are some rules for the three-day fixtures as well, as all first-innings will be played over 90 overs, and the second in 45 overs, in order to get a result.
