The case came to light in 2023 after a video of a 14 -year -old girl was recorded in an aircraft. The girl told that she was going to the washroom, so Thampson told her that the seat inside is bad. Police arrested accused

The police raided the house of the accused living in North Carolina and recovered several secret videos and MMS from his icloud account. Later it was discovered that he had also implicated minor girls of 7, 9 and 11 years in his trap using this strategy. Investigators also came to know that the accused misused the video using AI. He was arrested in September 2023 and if he is found guilty, he will be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in jail and a fine of 2 crore 18 lakhs.
