Eight Vidarbha Players Shortlisted for IPL 2026 Auction – The Live Nagpur

Eight players from Vidarbha are among the 350 cricketers shortlisted for the IPL 2026 auction, scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16, 2025.
A total of 1,390 players had registered for the auction, out of which 350—240 Indians and 110 overseas players—made the final list. This year’s pool features 224 uncapped Indian players and 14 uncapped overseas players, adding strong depth to the roster. Franchises will compete for 77 slots, including 31 reserved for overseas recruits.
Shubham Dubey (Rajasthan Royals), Yash Thakur (Punjab Kings), and Harsh Dubey (Sunrisers Hyderabad) have already been retained by their respective teams.
Umesh Yadav (Capped – Base Price ₹1.5 crore)
The experienced India pacer has returned to full fitness and impressed in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He will hope to make an IPL comeback on the strength of his experience.
Danish Malewar (Uncapped – Base Price ₹30 lakh)
Vidarbha’s most promising batsman scored 783 runs at 52.20 in last season’s Ranji Trophy and shone in the Duleep Trophy with innings of 203, 76, and 53. The VPTL 2025 Player of the Tournament is fit again after an injury and aims for his IPL debut.
Atharva Taide (Uncapped – Base Price ₹30 lakh)
Picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad last season, Taide played one game as Impact Player. After a strong Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (180 runs, SR 142.86), he hopes his aggressive batting attracts franchises.
Darshan Nalkande (Uncapped – Base Price ₹30 lakh)
Bought by Delhi Capitals last season but uncapped in matches, the all-rounder took 8 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He will look to impress teams with his dual skills.
Praful Hinge (Uncapped – Base Price ₹30 lakh)
The tall Vidarbha pacer has taken 15 Ranji Trophy wickets this season and bowled well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His hit-the-deck style could draw interest at the auction.
Parth Rekhade (Uncapped – Base Price ₹30 lakh)
A reliable all-rounder in both red- and white-ball cricket, Rekhade made his first-class debut last season. His versatility makes him a strong contender.
Varun Raj Bisht (Uncapped – Base Price ₹30 lakh)
A hard-hitting all-rounder who bowls off-spin, Bisht recently debuted in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and will aim to make an impression.
Shubham Kapse (Uncapped – Base Price ₹30 lakh)
The right-arm pacer performed well in VPTL 2025 and hopes to secure his first IPL opportunity.
