Liam Livingstone, who was one of the two overseas players released by RCB ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction, has been upscaling himself since the move with some gargantuan knocks on the field.
In the ILT20 match against Sharjah Warriorz, playing for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Liam Livingstone smashed a brilliant and unbeaten 38-ball 82 to give his team an edge while totalling up 233 runs from 20 overs.
Liam, who is a beneficial all-rounder from England, has played multiple IPL seasons since 2019, and it was only his first stint with RCB before the franchise decided to let go of him. Nevertheless, Livingstone proved his calibre in the ILT20 match with the bat, which might help him get fat bids on the auction table.
After Abu Dhabi Knight Riders came in to bat first, the team suffered early losses with Michael-Kyle Pepper gone in the 3rd over and Alex Hales following in the 8th over.
Livingstone came up the order to pair up with Alishan Sharafu and Sherfane Rutherford as he struck at 215.79, adding 8 sixes and 2 boundaries to his name. His partner Rutherford was equally explosive with 45 runs from 27 deliveries.
Nevertheless, Livingstone remained unbeaten as Abu Dhabi went past the 200-run mark to set up a mammoth total for Sharjah Warriorz. Notably, only Adil Rashid could make a worthy dent on the Knight Riders with his 2 wickets at an economy rate of 7.75.
Notably, Livingstone was an INR 8.5 cr buy of RCB, and from what it looks like after the ILT20 performance, Livingstone has increased his asking value way upd, as he showed off his hitting abilities with the bat, before the auction.
Liam, however, was not so productive in the RCB camp in the 2025 season. He only managed 112 runs and 2 wickets from the 10 matches he appeared for the franchise.
