Our bowling spearhead, Mohammed Siraj, produced one of the best spells of his career to guide us to a comprehensive seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in our IPL 2025 clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.
After we opted to bowl first, Siraj unleashed his magic at his home ground in Hyderabad as he dismissed both SRH openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, in the powerplay to complete the milestone of 100 IPL wickets. Siraj became the 12th Indian fast bowler to achieve the incredible feat.
In IPL 2025, Siraj has established himself as a powerplay specialist, striking early and often. Beyond scalping Head and Abhishek, he’s claimed prized wickets of Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton, Phil Salt, and Devdutt Padikkal, making him one of the most dependable new-ball bowlers this season. His ability to break partnerships before they begin is what sets him apart.

Meanwhile, Siraj continued his sensational spell against SRH as he trapped Aniket Verma and later cleaned up Simarjeet Singh to finish with his career-best bowling figures of 4/17 in the IPL.

Our Titans rode on Siraj’s brilliant spell to register our third consecutive win in IPL 2025.
For his match-winning spell, Miyan was later adjudged the Player of the Match in Hyderabad.
“When you come to your home ground, it’s a special feeling. My family was there in the crowd and that lifted me up,” Siraj said at the post-match presentation. 
After securing a hat-trick of wins in IPL 2025, we will look to continue the winning streak against the Rajasthan Royals at our fortress, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on Wednesday.
