Just one more match. That’s all that’s left in IPL 2025. Royal Challengers Bengaluru made it through to the final first, having brushed aside Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1.
On the other hand, PBKS beat Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 and have now set a re-match against RCB in the Grand Final at Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 3.
Trophies are the big draw, sure. But individual milestones matter too. The Orange Cap and Purple Cap, handed to the season’s top run-scorer and wicket-taker, bring recognition and a decent payday.
It’s not just about prestige anymore. This year, the prize money tells its own story. The winning team? ₹20 crore. The runner-up? ₹13 crore. And even the two playoff losers aren’t going home empty-handed; they’ll get cash rewards too.

That’s a massive jump from where it all started. Back in 2008, the IPL champions pocketed ₹4.8 crore. The runner-up took half that. Seventeen years later, the league isn’t just bigger, it’s richer, flashier, and more rewarding than ever.
The IPL governing committee is yet to officially declare the figures. However, there have been reports that the numbers may look like this.
