ICC Chairman Jay Shah Botswana Visit: Jai Shah has become the first ICC chairman of history to visit Botswana country located in the African continent. Actually Jai Shah recently reached the ICC meeting in Zimbabwe, after which he visited Botswana from 14-16 April. Here he spoke on issues related to the Associate Members of ICC. He also learned the condition of cricket in Botswana. He was accompanied by Dr. Tavengwa, chairman of Zimbabwe Cricket Board and some other ICC officials on this tour.

Before knowing the condition of cricket in Botswana, ICC Chairman Jai Shah also enjoyed walking in the wildlife park in the town of Gaboron, the capital of the country. While staying in Gaboron, Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) met some members of Jai Shah’s Sports Minister Jacob Kelbeng, Botswana National Sports Commission and Botswana National Olympic Committee. This meeting was organized by Indian High Commissioner Kumar Kuthati in Botswana.

2027 World Cup preparations were reviewed

Jai Shah recently took stock of the preparations for the 2027 World Cup. Let us tell you that the next ODI Cricket World Cup is to be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. He reviewed the pitches at the Wanderers ground in South Africa. Shah was welcomed with a red carpet in the Wanderers. At the same time, he also met the officials of the Centurion Ground.

Talking about 2027 ODI World Cup, it is going to be very special. The number of teams will be increased to 14 in this upcoming tournament, in which a total of 54 matches will be played. Being a host, South Africa and Zimbabwe have already qualified for the World Cup, but Namibia will have to pass the qualification round examination despite being hosts.
