KKR vs CSK Live Cricket Score, Today's IPL Match 57: Kolkata Knight Riders face Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League 2025 on 7 May. Follow the live scores and updates from the match here
A disappointing end to Russell’s innings. He attempted to hit a shorter googly from Noor, but tries to hit it towards off side but can not get any height on it, and it falls to Dewald Brevis, who takes a good catch under floodlights.
Russell looks expretely disappointed with his shot selection, as the ball from Noor wasn’t particularly good, but he ultimately ended up losing his wicket.
Andre Russell 38(21) c Brevis b Noor
It’s Andre Russell show at Eden Gardens at the moment. Jadeja, who was brilliant in the previous over, is hit for back-to-back boundaries and a six by the West Indian, and KKR will be happy that the big hitter has began roaring early tonight.
KKR: 124/4 (15)
Jadeja gets the main men! Rahane tries to be clever, opting for a reverse sweep against the spinner, but completely miscues the contact. The ball angles into the bowler, which means it hits the top of the bat, and flies to Devon Conway at backward point.
Ajinkya Rahane 48(33) c Conway b Jadeja
KKR: 103/4 (13)
Despite good bowling by Noor, KKR batters are continuing to rotate the strike, with no dot balls in the last two overs. Manish Pandey is yet to get going at the moment, but Rahane is nearing his half-century, and batting at a strike rate of more than 150.
KKR: 87/3 (10)
… Rohit Sharma has announced his retirement from Test cricket. A true legend of the game, and he deserves all the applauds.
Noor gets another scalp! This time it’s Angkrish Raghuvanshi. The youngster tries to defend against a fuller delivery from the spinner, but the ball turns away from the batter and gets the slightest of touches and is somehow held on to by Dhoni. KKR lose their third wicket.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi 1(2) c Dhoni b Noor
KKR: 73/3 (8)
Terrific reaction from MS Dhoni to stump Narine. The West Indian rushed out to hit a slog shot off Noor Ahmad, but completely misses the ball. The ball rolls and goes to Dhoni’s gloves, and he hits all three stumps.
The umpire calls for a review, and Dhoni was quick enough — there was never really any doubt about that.
Sunil Narine 26(17) st Dhoni b Noor
Narine goes after Ashwin, hitting back-to-back fours, before catching a wide ball with the bottom of his bat, but still covering the straight boundary and getting a huge maximum.
KKR: 50/1 (5)
Despite the early wicket, Rahane and Narine are sticking to the script of trying to hit every ball out of the park. So far, it has been a hit and miss approach, with three fours in two overs.
Kamboj also got another wicket, as Rahane tried to hit the final ball of the fourth over, but did not get the middle of the bat. The ball went high up in the air, but, thankfully for KKR, Pathirana could not grab the ball. It was a difficult chance, but one that CSK can’t afford to drop.
KKR: 36/1 (4)
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who had swung his bat at every single delivery, finally pays the price. After hitting a boundar off the first ball of Khaleel Ahmed and then hitting a massive six off Anshul Kamboj, the bowler has the last laugh. The Afghan tried to flick a full delivery towards leg side, but does not get any pace on it, and it reaches Noor Ahmad at mid-wicket.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz 11(9) c Noor b Kamboj
KKR: 17/1 (2)
Sunil Narine and Rahmanullah Gurbaz open the batting for KKR, and Khaleel Ahmad has the new ball for CSK. Gurbaz has first strike.
