MI vs KKR Live Cricket Score, IPL 2025 Match Today: Ashwani Kumar made a sensational debut, wreaking havoc on the Kolkata Knight Riders’ batting lineup to help Mumbai Indians bundle out KKR for 116 in their IPL 2025 match at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday. 
Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field first against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Mumbai Indians have had a torrid beginning to their campaign, losing back-to-back matches against their rivals Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans within the first two matches.
In stark contrast, Kolkata Knight Riders’ title defence started with a loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their very first match, inwhich they lost by seven wickets. However, they reversed the fortunes in their next match.
MI brought in Will Jacks and also handed a debut to left-arm pacer Ashwani Kumar. KKR made one change, bringing in Sunil Narine in place of Moeen Ali.

A dominant bowling display on their homecoming helped Mumbai Indians bundle out Kolkata Knight Riders for 116 in 16.2 overs.
Ashwani Kumar struck again, dismissing Andre Russell with a sensational delivery. The debutant’s dream spell continued to get better, as he cleaned up Russell’s stumps with a brilliant yorker. KKR: 88/8 in 12.4 ov.
Ashwani Kumar returned to the attack, delivering a short-pitched delivery to outfox Manish Pandey. KKR:  80/7 in 10.6 ov.
Deepak Chahar delivered a short-pitched delivery, outsmarting Venkatesh Iyer, who attempted to ramp the ball over the keeper but nicked it to keeper for easy catch.
Ashwani Kumar made a dream debut for Mumbai Indians, striking gold with his very first delivery. He claimed the prized wicket of Ajinkya Rahane, sending the experienced batsman back to the pavilion.
Trent Boult strikes, catching Sunil Narine off guard with a swift yorker in first over of the game while Deepak Chahar removed Quinton de Kock in the second over.

“We wanted to bowl first as well but I was confused looking at the wicket, generally Wankede is a good batting surface so I feel it’s a good toss to lose. There’s a little breeze going on, no dew factor to deal with. We will look to post a good total on the board and I have confidence in our bowlers to defend. We are playing good cricket, every games gives a good opportunity to play good cricket. Lovely ground, we are looking to play good cricket. Sunil comes in in place of Mooen,” KKR captain said. 
“We gonna bowl first, looks like a good track. Knowing Wankhede, dew may or may not come. There might be some early swing, it plays well so we thought chasing is a good option. We want to get into good rhythm and kickstart. Overall, we want to play better cricket, we need to stay calm. Will comes back and we have a debutant,” MI captain said.
