Why did America fall on Japan atomic bombs?

The atomic bombs were demolished in 1945 on Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki. By the end of 1945, atomic bombing killed around 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 74,000 people in Nagasaki.
