Amma telling the problem

Chhatarpur- Barigarh Nagar Panchayat of Chhatarpur district is in the news these days for misconduct and dirt. Especially the condition of ward number 15 is very bad. Dirty drains flowing in the open in the streets here, the lack of bulbs in the pillars and the drying of hand pumps have become common. The local public is upset but the lethargy of the Nagar Panchayat administration is further increasing their pain.

“It has become difficult to live with smell”
The women living in ward number 15 said that garbage has been stored in the drains passing through the front of the houses for months, due to which the smell keeps rising. The sweepers appear occasionally during the month but return without working. The situation is such that people have to clean the drains by taking a broom themselves.

“The public chose, but could not do anything”
Ward councilor Pappu Anuragi said, “The public expressed confidence in me, but due to the negligence of the authorities, I could not do anything. The cleaning inspector has not come to the ward for months. There are no lights on the pillars and people are falling ill due to the dirt spread on the roadside.” He also added that this ward has now reached a bad condition from the villages.

CMO’s Golmol reply
When the CMO of Nagar Panchayat Ajay Agnihotri was talked about in this regard, he claimed that regular cleaning is done in all the wards. But when he was told that the reporters themselves were present in Ward 15, he postponed the matter citing the holiday of the cleaning workers.
