Sometimes the things that our eyes consider to be ordinary can actually prove to be a precious treasure. One such strange but truth story happened to a woman from Romania. The stone that she used to use to obstruct the door for years, she actually turned out to be millions of years old precious amber (glue stone), which was worth about $ 1.1 million (about Rs 9.1 crore). As soon as the woman came to know about this stone, her senses flew away. So let’s know how the woman got this precious stone.
The woman raised this stone from the banks of a river flowing in the southeastern area of Romania years ago. He did not even know its real price and historical importance. She was using it as an ordinary stone and was using it to obstruct the door of her house. When the woman died in 1991, one of her relatives saw this stone and suspected about its glitter and weight. He showed this to experts. When scientists examined this stone, all were stunned. It was not a modest stone, but it turned out to be 38.5 to 70 million (about 7 crore) years old Amber (Rumenite). When Romania officials came to know about this unique stone, they sent it to the History Museum of Krako (Poland). The scientists there immediately investigated it and confirmed that it is a rare piece of amber. Seeing its red glow, he called it one of the largest and valuable amber pieces in the world.
Where is Amber right now?
The interesting thing is that for so many years this precious amber remained saved from the eyes of the thieves. When this woman was alive, her house was stolen, but the thieves ignored it as a minor stone. Later, when the family members of the woman understood its real price, it was sold to the Romanian government. Now it is placed in the Bujaau Provincial Museum of Amber Romania, where it is kept to see the general public.
What is Amber?
Let me tell you, Amber is actually an organic resin (resin) originating from the trees, which becomes hardened in millions and millions of years and becomes like stone. It is used in jewelry and decorative items. Such amber mines are found around Kolty village in Romania, where it has been excavated since the 1920s.
