The IPL 2026 season is scheduled to start in March 2026. This long wait has fans missing the feeling of watching their favourite IPL stars perform in the thrilling T20 format. England’s “The Hundred” may provide an escape from this boredom, with many IPL stars taking part in this 2025 season.
The Hundred is an exciting cricket tournament created by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The format is different from the traditional T20, as teams play 100-ball innings rather than 20 overs.
In IPL 2025, Noor Ahmad played 14 matches for the Chennai Super Kings. He picked up 14 wickets throughout the season, with a bowling average of 17.00. He’s set to represent the Manchester Originals in The Hundred this season. His only other feature in The Hundred was in the 2022 edition as part of Welsh Fire, where he played only one match.
The New Zealand international featured in 8 matches in IPL 2025. With a batting average of 27.28 and his highest score of 65* added to his IPL 2025 total of 191 runs. Rachin Ravindra is set to make his The Hundred debut with Manchester Originals this season.
Heinrich Klaasen faced 13 innings in 14 matches played in his IPL 2025 season. His most impressive performance last season was his remarkable 105 not out off just 39 balls against KKR. He scored a total of 487 runs with a batting average of 44.27 with Sunrisers Hyderabad. His last feature in The Hundred was in the 2023 edition, where he scored 189 runs in 7 innings faced.
In the IPL 2025 season, Will Jacks scored a total of 233 runs in the 11 innings he faced. His batting average stood at 23.30 runs. Will Jacks has been a regular name in The Hundred, as part of the Oval Invincibles. His 108 not out against Southern Brave was the highest individual score of The Hundred 2022.
In his previous season with RCB, Phil Salt registered 403 runs in the 13 innings he faced with a batting average of 33.58. He managed to score 4 half-centuries, helping RCB claim their first ever IPL title. He captained the Manchester Originals in their 2024 season as he scored 228 runs in the 8 innings he faced.
Sam Curran was once the most expensive player in IPL history with an 18.50 crore bid from the Punjab Kings. In IPL 2025, he delivered a match-winning performance against his former team by scoring 88 runs. He, however, played only 5 innings and grabbed a total of 114 runs. Sam Curran had an impressive Men’s Hundred 2024 as he scored 201 runs in the 6 innings he faced and also claimed 17 wickets in 9 matches.
He was bought by MI for INR 12.5 Crore at the 2025 auction and finished the season as MI’s leading wicket-taker. He finished fourth in the race for the Purple Cap with 22 wickets in 16 matches. He’s set to make his The Hundred debut with Birmingham Phoenix.
Rashid Khan struggled in his start to the IPL 2025 season as he only picked up 4 wickets in his first 7 matches. He also broke an embarrassing record for most sixes conceded by a bowler in an IPL season with 33. Despite a difficult season, he’s still considered one of the best T20 bowlers in the world. Rashid Khan was the first-ever Men’s draft pick in The Hundred. In his last The Hundred season with the Trent Rockets, Rashid Khan picked up 9 wickets in 5 innings.
Despite having a strong IPL career, the former SRH captain went unsold at the 2025 auction. This was probably a result of his poor IPL 2024 campaign, where he scored only 168 runs in 8 matches for the Delhi Capitals. London Spirit will be excited to avail the Australians’ services as he’s set to make his debut season in The Hundred.
Jos Buttler was purchased by the Gujarat Titans for ₹15.75 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction. He enjoyed a strong 2025 IPL season as he scored 538 runs in 13 innings he faced with a batting average of 59.77. His impressive 97 not out stint against Delhi Capitals earned his side a massive seven-wicket victory. In the 2023 edition of The Hundred, Jos Buttler topped the run-scoring charts with Manchester Originals scoring an impressive 391 runs across the season.
The Hundred is shaping up to be one of the most entertaining cricket tournaments out there. The IPL still stands as the biggest T20 league in the world, and watching the IPL stars perform elsewhere will bring up the viewership numbers of this competition. The Manchester Originals and Oval Invincibles dominate with most players from this; will they battle it out for the 2025 edition of The Hundred?
