UP Politics: Fisheries Minister in Uttar Pradesh government and National President of Nishad Party, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Nishad met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Friday at his residence. This gift was quite intimate, in which Minister Sanjay Nishad put many pending issues related to the fisherman community before the Home Minister. He said that the fisherman society has been struggling for its social and constitutional rights for a long time and now the time has come that the government should take concrete steps in this direction.

Dr. Sanjay Nishad said that the Home Minister has shown a positive attitude on this issue and assured to hold detailed talks on the basis of authentic documents soon.

Demand for adjustment of workers
Sanjay Nishad also discussed the adjustment of Nishad Party workers in the state government. He said that some workers have been given responsibility in the commission, but other prominent workers of the state are still waiting. The Home Minister also assured it sympathetically.

Nishad Party will fight on its symbol in elections
Minister Sanjay Nishad also spoke about the upcoming elections. He said that wherever Nishad Party has been given seats in the state, the party will contest elections on its election symbol. He made the BJP leadership aware of this strategy.

Sanjay Nishad congratulated the Home Minister on the success of BJP and NDA in Delhi and said that fishermen society and Nishad party also played an important role in Delhi and Haryana. The Nishad Party is a regional party in Uttar Pradesh, the mainstay of which is the fishermen community and the sub -castes associated with it. The party was formed by Dr. Sanjay Nishad in 2016. The party politically strengthened itself by combining the BJP in 2019 and 2022. Currently, Sanjay Nishad is included in the cabinet as Fisheries Minister in the UP government. The party has long been demanding to include the fisherman community in the Scheduled Castes and to provide social justice.

This meeting is also considered important in terms of upcoming assembly elections and coalition strategy.
