Seven teachers taught together, yet the only student of the school failed: Have you ever heard that there are only 1 child in a class in a school? No no… from above, that too fails in the board examination. Yes, this amazing case has come out from Nainital in Uttarakhand. A high school in Okhalakanda block of Nainital district has taken a strange record in the results of the 10th standard of Uttarakhand Board this time. Due to this untouched record, this school has wanted the headlines across the state. In fact, there was only one student in class 10 in a government high school located in Nainital district, but that too failed in the Uttarakhand Board 10th examination, after which the education officials have started investigating it.

Result came on 19 April
Let me tell you, when the results of Uttarakhand Vidyalaya Education Board were declared in this school of Bhadrakot village, 115 km from Nainital district headquarters, only 7 students were nominated from class 6 to 10. Seven teachers including the headmaster are posted at Government Higher Secondary School Bhadrakot. One of these teachers (Art subjects) has been sent for arrangements in another school, but, teachers are present in the school for major subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Science. Officials said that the school has two students in the sixth and seventh grade, while in the eighth, ninth and 10th grade, there are one student each. At the same time, 7 teachers, one clerk and one food are going to be prepared for 7 students for 7 students in the entire school.

The groom reached with a happy procession, looking at the bride and crying, said sadly- ‘I will take 7 but…’

Instructions for investigation now
Despite the presence of so many teachers, not only the only student of class X failed. Rather, his points were also very disappointing. When talked to Additional Director of Secondary Education GS Saun, he said that it is very strange that even after the entire staff was deployed in the school, the only student could not pass the board examination. The Chief Education Officer has been instructed to visit the school and find out the exact reason.

This single student of class 10 has secured bad marks in all subjects. Officials said that the student got about 10 marks in Hindi and less than 10 marks in English, Science, Social Studies and Maths. Education officers came to know about this school and failed student of the state while examining the results of board examination and the performance of schools. The authorities have sought clarification from the principal and staff. The District Chief Education Officer will visit the school for investigation on 5 May (Monday).

Here was the result
Significantly, Uttarakhand School Education Council (UBSE) declared the result of 10th board examination on 19 April 2025. This time a total of 90.77 percent students have passed. In this, the passing percentage of girls was 93.25 percent, while the passing percentage of boys was 88.20 percent. Kamal Singh Chauhan and Jatin Joshi have jointly become this year’s toppers. Both have secured 496 i.e. 99.20 percent marks.
