Sunil tatkare meets amit shah: Nationalist Congress Party state president Sunil Tatkare met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday (April 4). During this, he has demanded that the ‘Ghawrekod’ village of Mahad taluka of Raigad district should be renamed as ‘Shri Ram Nagar’. He said that after understanding the feelings of the villagers, its name should be changed.
Regarding this, Sunil Tatkare wrote on his X handle, “I have given a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah today by the Maharashtra government regarding the proposal to change the name of ‘Ghawrekod’ village in Mahad taluka in my Lok Sabha constituency Raigad district. This name change should be approved in the perspective of completing it. “

He further wrote, “There is no other village named ‘Shri Ram Nagar’ in Raigad district or its surrounding areas. Also, the villagers have not objected to the change. Keeping in mind the strong sentiments of the local people, I also fully support this demand of the villagers and request a humble request to the Union Home Ministry to give a positive decision in this regard and instruct the concerned officials for necessary action.”
