Karnataka bus driver viral video: In Karnataka, a bus driver of state transport stopped a bus filled with passengers to offer Namaz on the road. A video of this incident is also going viral on the Internet. After the video went viral on social media, the Karnataka government has ordered an inquiry into the case.

In the viral video, a person sitting on a seat inside the bus is seen offering prayers. That person is fully focused and calm, passengers are constantly seeing him. Meanwhile, traffic can be seen moving normally on the road. The incident took place on Tuesday (April 29, 2025) on the way to Hubli Haweeri near Zaveri.

Transport Minister orders for investigation

After the video went viral online, Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy has also ordered an inquiry into the incident. According to the NDTV report, Reddy wrote a letter to the manager of the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation, saying that it is objectionable to stop the bus in the middle of the way.

‘Offensive offering namaz in bus’

The letter states, “Employees working in public service are mandatory to follow certain rules and regulations. Even though everyone has the right to follow any religion, but they can do this except office time. Despite having passengers in the bus, it is objectionable to offer namaz by stopping the bus in the middle.”

It further states, “It has been directed to conduct disciplinary action against employees immediately and if found guilty. Action should be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.”
