Some of them said that instead of sending them alive, the government should send the bodies in shroud and send them to Pakistan.
‘We have come here due to government policy’
Alija Rafiq, who lives in a district of North Kashmir, said that the police have asked him to leave the country. I have three children. They have asked me to leave my youngest daughter here. She is younger, how can I leave her here? He expressed surprise. How can I leave my husband here? I have built a house here. We have come here due to the government’s policy. What have we done? What is our fault in this? We have a voter ID card and an Aadhaar card. I have also voted in elections.
‘My 2 daughters are Mary and Aamna’
Appealing to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, he said that I appeal to the Governor not to do cruelty with us. We have not committed any sin. Please let us stay here. If not, kill us and send our bodies across the border.
Zahida Begum said that after living her life in the Kashmir Valley, she does not want to go back to Pakistan. He also showed his identity documents such as residence certificate, Aadhaar, election card and ration cards as evidence of staying here. He said that I have two daughters, Mary and Aamna. My son Faizan is 10 years old and they are asking me to keep him here. I do not want to go back, please forgive me. I want to be here.
