UPSC CSE 2024 Official Cutoffs Declared Check Complete Category Wise Breakdown

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of Civil Services Examination 2024. Along with this exam, the hard work of millions of youth who had been dreaming of selection in reputed services like IAS, IPS, IFS for years. After the result, the candidates are now eyeing the cutoff points, which decide where the line of selection was drawn. The Commission has released the category -wise cutoff of the initial, main and final three phases on its official website upsc.gov.in.

Learn how much the cutoff of the preliminary examination went

In the preliminary examination of UPSC CSE 2024, the cutoff for general category was 87.98 points, which can be considered balanced as per recent years. For OBC category it has been set 87.28 marks, 85.92 marks for EWS, 79.03 marks for SC category and 74.23 for ST category. These figures show that class -wise competition in the preliminary examination was quite dense.

Category -wise cutoff of main examination

The cutoff marks in the main examination were more challenging. The main examination cutoff for general category was 729 marks, while 696 for EWS, 702 for OBC, 685 for SC category and 684 for ST category have been fixed.

This is the last line for final selection

The final cutoff, which also includes interview marks, scored 947 points for the general category. This mark shows the final limit of selection, on the basis of which service is allotted to the candidates.

Shakti Dubey remained number 1 in toppers

This time Prayagraj’s Shakti Dubey has secured the first place. Harshita Goyal was in second place and Dongre Arch Parag on the third. The top 5 consists of three women. Akash Garg of Delhi has got the fifth position. This year 2845 candidates were called for interview, out of which 1009 have been selected. The selected include 335, OBC 318, EWS 109, SC category 160 candidates and 87 candidates of ST category.
